Yoga poses which can alleviate constipation in two ways:

  1. Digestive Massage
    Through twisting poses, inversions, and forward folds. These poses massage your digestive organs, increase blood flow and oxygen delivery, aid the process of peristalsis, and encourage stools to move through your system. Doing yoga regularly can result in regular, healthy bowel movements
  2. Managing Stress
    Yoga can help you to manage your stress response, which can greatly improve the functioning of your digestion system. You may notice that you’re more likely to get “blocked up” when you’re stressed out. Simply meditating and breathing deeply can help move things along.

“My Yoga Journey began while living in Wisconsin. Exposure to the New Thought Community opened doors to many new experiences to learn including Yoga, Thai Chi, Chi Gong, Massage, Meditation and many more.

As I became more involved in this self-exploration and transformation, I studied the Yoga Philosophy and lives of Masters Paramhansa Yogananda, Swami Kripalu, Founder of Kripalu Yoga and Yogi Amrit Desai.

Mary and I have visited the Amrit Yoga Institute with members of our classes and fellow Yoga teachers.

Currently, I am holding 3 private chair yoga classes a week a senior independent community  in Sarasota. Average attendance is 10 -14. The participants there average 78 – 98 yrs old and we also have several 100 centurions.!
