Sharme Ridley is a Rouxbe certified plant-based cooking enthusiast who specializes in creating Louisiana Creole inspired dishes. Overcoming a host of health issues after adopting a plant-based diet, she now inspires others to follow a whole food, plant-based (WFPB) lifestyle through her efforts with Plant Based Atlanta, a PlantPure Communities pod and her Atlanta Creole YouTube channel, where she offers WFPB cooking demonstrations. Sharme is also one of the hosts for CNS Kitchen, a T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies (CNS) plant-based support group. She earned the CNS eCornell Plant Based Nutrition Certificate and is a Licensed Food for Life Instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). A retired public school teacher in her early 60s, she takes no medicines and is a living testament to the power of plants. Sharme has a B.S. in Secondary Education, a MEd in Educational Administration, and an EdS in Curriculum and Instruction.

80 years young, Michael Dorfman became plant based in 2008. Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1942, Michael Dorfman has been residing in Mexico for more than 40 years, including the last 6 in San Miguel de Allende. Because of his growing interest in Eastern philosophy, he decided to become a vegetarian in 1976. For health reasons, in 2008, he chose to make the change to a Whole Food Plant Based diet. What he has learned from his experiences and in-depth research on nutrition and specific lifestyle changes during these past 14 years has significantly impacted his life and led to his decision to not only strive to achieve optimal health for himself but to support others with the same goals in mind. In 2019, he published his first book on Amazon, “The Thriving Vegan – How to Discover the Foods your Body Loves.” That same year, he became certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies through eCornell University. He recently completed a 46-page eBook, “The Nutrition, Lifestyle and Covid Connection,” which he offers free to this podcast audience.
