Delicious, Whole Food, Plant Based Coleslaw! Be Strong, Be Well and Be Green!🌱

Ingredients For Coleslaw Be Green With Amy

Instructions For Coleslaw Be Green With Amy

  1. With shredding wheel, shred cabbage & carrot in food processor.
  2. Chop or dice onion (if you are using). I like to use this chopper.
  3. Mix all salad ingredients together in a large bowl
  4. In a high powered blender, blend non-dairy milk, apple, cashews and vinegar and toss with salad. 
  5. Garnish with raisins, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds walnuts and lightly toasted sesame seeds.
  6. Garnish with raisins, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds walnuts and lightly toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

  • *Lightly toast sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat for 4 minutes, shaking the pan frequently.

Sharme is also one of the hosts for CNS Kitchen, a T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies (CNS) plant-based support group. She earned the CNS eCornell Plant Based Nutrition Certificate and is a Licensed Food for Life Instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). A retired public school teacher in her early 60s, she takes no medicines and is a living testament to the power of plants. Sharme has a B.S. in Secondary Education, a MEd in Educational Administration, and an EdS in Curriculum and Instruction.

    1. Greenings Diane! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. My hubby Rick, loves to change up recipes and this one had not yet been modified. I do like the onion, and some people do not like onions at all. I added it to the recipe as optional. Thank you for your support and attention to detail. Be Strong, Be Well and Be Green!🌱
